On to the count.

Ahh... the count's not even complete and I've added more
This morning, we woke to no electricity. (Still out. Thank goodness for generators.) So, I needed some help with a new pattern by Chanana Designs that I've been trying to do. (My first venture into sewing children's clothing - or any clothing, for that matter.) Plus, I needed some lightweight interfacing, so, we decided to head out to the LQS. My favorite is called Mabelena's. It's in Ortonville, Michigan, and if you ever find yourself passing through the Detroit area, I highly suggest that you make it a stop on your trip. You won't be disappointed. So, long story short, $$$ and a new project to boot. I couldn't resist the new holiday fabrics from Moda. It's called Figgy Pudding. Love it! So, I've added another project to my ever-growing to-do list! Check out the Figgy Pudding quilt. I also picked up two new patterns from Indygo Junction: Sister Smocks and Uptown Tops & Trousers. Oh, yeah, I forgot the interfacing.

Taking stock of the situation
I've decided it's time. Time for what? Accounting. Not just any boring, old accounting project, but an account of the total of quilting UFOs I have floating around in my "aquarium." I wonder how many there are.
I'm so attracted to the beautiful fabrics I see at the LQS. It's impossible to say no. So, I don't. Add that to the shows and online shopping and I can see that I have an addiction. An expensive one, too.
My quilting room, which is actually our computerless computer room, is full. Plain and simple. It has overflowed and now resides there as well as in bins which have been rather unceremoniously dumped into our basement by my husband.
So, here's the game plan... find, organize and label all of my UFOs, AND (here's the clincher...) complete them one by one over the course of this year. Can it be done? Will it be done? We'll see...
